This Privacy Policy describes how RoomStylerAI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application RoomStylerAI (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Photos and Images: When you use the App, you may upload photographs of rooms, house exteriors, or sketches. These images are transmitted to our servers and then sent to Google's Gemini AI service for processing. Uploaded images are stored in cloud storage and associated with your anonymous account for as long as your account exists (see Section 7 for retention details).
  • Generated Images: AI-generated redesigned images are stored in cloud storage and associated with your anonymous account so you can access them in your personal gallery.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Anonymous Account Identifier: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a unique identifier for your session. No personal information such as name, email address, or phone number is required to use the App.
  • Usage Data: We collect analytics data about how you interact with the App, including features used (room type, design style, transformation mode selected), generation success/failure events, image sharing and download events, gallery interactions, paywall views, and general navigation patterns.
  • Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, device identifiers, and platform information for analytics, crash reporting, and service improvement.
  • Crash Data: If the App crashes, we collect diagnostic information including stack traces, device state, and the actions leading up to the crash to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
  • On-Device Storage: We store certain data locally on your device using standard platform storage mechanisms, including your anonymous user identifier, credits balance, onboarding preferences, and metadata about your generated images. This data remains on your device unless you use features that require cloud processing.
  • Advertising Identifiers: If you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework on iOS, your Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) may be collected by our advertising and marketing partners. On Android, the Google Advertising ID (GAID) may be collected for similar purposes. These identifiers are used for personalized advertising and campaign measurement by Google AdMob and TikTok Events SDK.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Subscription Data: If you purchase a subscription (PRO plan), your purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status through RevenueCat, our subscription management partner. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
  • Advertising Data: If you watch rewarded video ads, our advertising partner Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data as governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide our core service: Process your uploaded photos through Google Gemini AI to generate redesigned room images.
  • Maintain your gallery: Store and display your generated designs in your personal gallery.
  • Manage subscriptions and credits: Track your subscription status and credit balance for generating designs.
  • Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and enhance features and performance.
  • Serve advertisements: Display rewarded video ads to free-tier users who wish to earn additional credits.
  • A/B testing: Test different feature presentations and pricing options through Firebase Remote Config to improve user experience.
  • Marketing analytics: Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through aggregated analytics.

3. When We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With third-party service providers listed in Section 4, solely to operate, maintain, and improve the App.
  • For AI image processing: Your uploaded photos are transmitted to Google's Gemini AI service to generate redesigned images.
  • To comply with legal obligations, court orders, subpoenas, or legal processes.
  • To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you of any such change.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). Third-party advertising and marketing tools may collect data as described in Sections 4 and 5, which you can control through App Tracking Transparency settings on iOS or advertising opt-out settings on Android.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) – Firebase Privacy Policy
  • Google Gemini AI – Used to process images and generate AI-powered room redesigns. Images you upload are transmitted from our Cloud Functions servers to Google's Gemini AI service for processing. – Google AI Terms

  • Google AdMob – Serves rewarded video advertisements to free-tier users. – Google Privacy Policy
  • TikTok Events SDK – Tracks marketing attribution and campaign performance through aggregated event data. – TikTok Privacy Policy

5. Tracking Technologies

The App and our third-party partners use device identifiers, SDKs, and similar technologies to collect usage data, serve advertising, and measure marketing campaign effectiveness. These technologies are not browser cookies but serve analogous purposes on mobile devices. Specifically:

  • Firebase Analytics SDK collects usage events and device information.
  • Firebase Crashlytics SDK collects crash diagnostics and device state.
  • Google AdMob SDK may collect advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) for personalized advertising.
  • TikTok Events SDK collects device identifiers and event data for marketing attribution.
  • Image caching: The App caches images locally on your device for performance using standard caching libraries.

On iOS, advertising-related tracking requires your explicit consent through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. On Android, you can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization).

6. Data Storage and Security

  • Uploaded and generated images are stored in Google Firebase Cloud Storage (servers located in the United States and other Google Cloud regions).
  • Analytics and crash data are stored in Google Firebase services (United States).
  • Subscription data is managed by RevenueCat (United States) and the respective app stores.
  • Marketing attribution data is processed by TikTok (which may process data in multiple regions including the United States and Singapore).
  • We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and secure cloud infrastructure.
  • While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

  • Images: Uploaded and generated images are retained in cloud storage as long as your anonymous account exists. You may delete individual images from your gallery within the App.
  • Analytics Data: Usage and analytics data is retained for up to 14 months in accordance with Firebase Analytics default retention settings.
  • Crash Data: Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days.
  • On-Device Data: Data stored locally on your device persists until you uninstall the App or clear its data.

8. Your Rights and Choices

  • Photo Access: You can revoke the App's access to your photo library or camera at any time through your device settings.
  • App Tracking: On iOS, you can control whether the App can track your activity across other apps and websites through the App Tracking Transparency prompt or your device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
  • Advertising: You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising. On Android, go to Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.
  • Data Deletion: You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at favamvv@gmail.com. We will delete your associated images and account data without undue delay, and in any event within 30 days of your request.
  • Access and Portability: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at the email address above.
  • Do Not Track Signals: The App does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals as the App is a native mobile application. However, you can control tracking through the platform-level mechanisms described above.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area) in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at favamvv@gmail.com, and we will take steps to delete such information without undue delay.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. Specifically:

  • United States: Google Cloud (Firebase, Gemini AI), RevenueCat
  • United States and Singapore: TikTok (marketing attribution)

These countries may have data protection laws different from those of your jurisdiction. Where required by applicable law (such as GDPR), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved transfer mechanisms to ensure adequate protection of your data. By using the App, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA):

  • Right to Know: You have the right to know what personal information we collect about you and how it is used.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Categories of personal information we collect (as defined by Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.140):

  • Identifiers: Anonymous account ID, device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID).
  • Internet or electronic network activity information: Usage data, analytics events, interaction logs.
  • Visual information: Uploaded room photographs and AI-generated images.

12. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right of access to your personal data.
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction of processing.
  • Right to data portability.
  • Right to object to processing.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of contract / Necessity for the service: Processing your uploaded images through AI to deliver redesigned images; managing your gallery and account; managing your subscription status and credit balance.
  • Legitimate interest: Firebase Analytics (usage analysis to improve the App, with opt-out available through device settings); Firebase Crashlytics (maintaining service stability and fixing bugs); A/B testing via Remote Config (improving user experience).
  • Consent: Personalized advertising through Google AdMob (consent obtained via ATT prompt on iOS or equivalent consent mechanism); marketing attribution via TikTok Events SDK (consent obtained via ATT prompt on iOS or equivalent consent mechanism).

Automated Decision-Making

The App uses AI (Google Gemini) to process your images and generate redesigned versions. This is not automated decision-making or profiling in the sense of GDPR Article 22, as it does not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. A/B testing via Firebase Remote Config may present different feature layouts or pricing, but does not constitute profiling that produces legal effects.

13. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the competent supervisory authority without undue delay, and where feasible within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by GDPR Article 33. If the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will also notify affected users without undue delay as required by GDPR Article 34.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page, updating the "Last updated" date, and where practicable, providing notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
